At this Wednesday's meeting we had 15 members and 5 visitors attending.
The 4 way test was recited by all club members.
Rotary Moment:
Today we had the District Governor at our club, John and Claire Anderson made their way from Tsawwassen to attend our meeting.
Announcements:
1) The seniors lunch will take place on December 13th at the Coast Plaza hotel. The seniors will arrive at 11 am and the volunteers need to be there by 10 am.
2) The 2016 edition of the Hoopathon will take place on June 4th. Please let Gary Chomyn know if you would like to be part of the committee.
3) Visiting Rotarian Graham Salvail from the Quadra club told us about the foot care clinic for the downtown east side. This event will take place November 20 at the Salvation Army.
4) We all received our tickets for the Christmas raffle.
Today we had John Anderson, the District Governor, as our guest speaker. Some of the highlights of his presentation were:
- He has been a Rotarian for over 2o years, he is past president of the West Vancouver and Tsawwassen clubs.
- He congratulated Cleopatra, our president, for all her hard work.
- Our international projects will be: project amigo and hippo roller.
- He presented Cam Scott with a well deserved diploma of recognition for outstanding service to the club.
