At last Wednesday's meeting we had 15 members present and one guest, Roger Rojas.
We did a fine job of reciting the Four Way Test, with no leader necessary.
Rotary Moment:
Bill- It is necessary to a have a team of members identify, cultivate or solicit major gifts. First identify potential donors. Be aware of past giving history. Cultivate these donors to identify what their special interests are, ie eradicating polio. Water, etc. Then when time is right, ASK. Then when a donation is made, THANK THEM and at the same, advise them how their donor is making an impact.
John then reminded us that now that we have initiated an Interact Club, we must keep involved. Remember that the club will visit us on Jan 20. Lets have a big attendance. Also remember to give blood if you can.
Announcements:
1) Raffle- Unfortunately it has been turned down by the government. The committee will meet and arrange an alternative, and advise us as to what we need to do regarding the sold tickets.
2) Robbie Burns Day will be celebrated at our meeting on January 27. Bring a guest.
3) Hoopathon- Remember that June is only a half a year away. Start thinking of how which can continue to fund our contributions.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT- Remember that there is no meeting on December 30. In the meantime, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
