Quadra Club, Frances Kototyluk and Vicente Asuncion,
as well as our guest speaker Tom Smith, who is the District Membership Chair.
The 4 way test was recited by Sheila Anderson.
Rotary Moment:
John Haley told us about a project in El Salvador to build seismic proof homes. The project is run by Rotarians from New Hampshire and they typically build 12-16 homes in a week at a cost of USD$3000 each. El Salvador has 23 active volcanoes and consequently a high level of seismic activity.

Our guest speaker was Tom Smith the district chair of membership.
Some of the highlights of his presentation were:
- This is a good answer to the question "What is Rotary?"
It's a leadership organization. We are made up of local business, professional and civic leaders. We meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to get things done in this community"
- A very important and largely untapped source of new members is the Rotaract clubs.
Thought for the day- Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep balance you must keep moving. -Albert Enstein
